Dr. Abigail hardin is the expert on medical and rehabilitation psychology

Only about four percent of psychologists earn board certification, according a field survey from the American Psychological Association. And only two percent of those are board certified in Rehabilitation Psychology. Because psychologists are allowed to practice without earning board certification, the credential “ABPP” shows the public and institutions that a psychologist is an expert in their area of psychology.

Dr. Hardin is an expert on catastrophic illness and injury and acquired disability. She helps patients, families and professionals understand how individuals with disabilities are impacted by their illness or injury, and how to best achieve their emotional, social, work-related and physical goals.

Not all psychologists are competent to practice in the area of medical psychology or rehabilitation psychology. To learn more about board certification in various disciplines, go to the American Board of Professional Psychology website.
